What if you directly send a personal check?
MAy be good for large amounts. But for small amount too much fees is associated. I sent some checks of $100 to a charity , almost Rs 500 was deducted as fees for every Check. It was Syndicate Bank where they encashed the check.

To capture unused visa numbers we need to make DC rally big, so lets go to DC on sept 13th and make it big success.......
Nice....;)
Also we need everyone to help out in spreading IV work at the local level (state level). Plus IV welcomes contributions. :)

I am not sure why you think Sensenbrenner will be receptive to the problems of legal immigrants. Here's a summary of the legal immigration clauses he put in HR4437 - they are not there by accident:
http://www.immigrationforum.org/documents/PolicyWire/Legislation/SenseKingGlance.pdf
Make it harder for legal permanent residents to become citizens. Legal immigrants who have waited
patiently for the chance to become U.S. citizens may have their dreams dashed by this bill. It would:
 Allow government bureaucrats to deny citizenship to any legal permanent resident on a whim;
 Permit the government to keep the reason for that denial a secret;
 Eliminate a judges power to override a mistake DHS made in denying citizenship; and
 Change the rules of the game so that long-time legal permanent residents can be barred from citizenship
and deported, even if they were never convicted of a crime or it was a minor offense from decades ago.

Thanks ashkam. I am still on H1, this is exactly what I needed to hear. I will confirm this with my attorney too. Thanks again!
According to my attorney, if you are in valid H1 status, your wife can get her H4 stamped, reenter on an H4 and still maintain her GC application. Once she comes back, she can go back to work on her EAD and transition into I-485 pending status.

You may want to know the pros and cons. If you want your baby to deliver in US, you can try visitor visa route I guess,,,not sure if it allows dependent child to stay with you more than 1 year.
Or best - wait for baby and deliver him after getting citizenship :-)
Or check with Angie Jolie/ Bradd Pitt couple..they must have tried all the above and more alternatives ;-)

You may be generally right about this, but in my case the attorney fees are borne by my company and it is my company who advised me to apply for EAD and still said that they will maintain my H1 till my AOS is approved, and thats where all these questions started popping in my mind.
The only real reason why your lawyer wanted you to apply for EAD is to collect their fees. If you are maintaining H1, there is no need to EAD. If you lose your job, you will most likely have time to get an EAD, or you may even end up doing an H1 transfer.

Thanks again. What threw me was that even though the detail was blown there was lots of colour. It is not like when it gets blown to white by direct sunlight.
The shot we are all talking about was originally in RAW, by the way.
This is the time in a while that I have identified a problem that wouldn't be solved with a large expenditure of cash
