I do not think transfer matters. Mine was filed directly with TSC because my lawyers reason: my I-140 was approved from there.

I am guessing that we will probably receive similar response as posted by sweet_jungle that they are waiting for local ASC. I don't think we will receive FP after notice 30 days but this kind of response. Maybe local ASC are scheduling peoples appointment based on their name check results. Otherwise why would people who applied on last day of filing , Aug 16,2007 receive FP notice from my local ASC and not me.

My analysis is minimally, if at all, dependent on India, China, ROW, ...
Offcourse I don't know all laws. I will believe DOS/USCIS URLs that explain how VB dates are set.
In general, it will be very useful to finds URLs that explain VB date setting and identify USCIS inconsistencies which they call LAW.
See below link...It has some explanation of the cut-off dates. I don't know if that helps. Also it has been noted the AC21 was intsrumental in re-capturing 131K visas which kept the dates current until 2005. Amazing!! We should hire the lobbying firm which worked on AC21:D

I had taken infopass and officer sent an email to TSC enquiring about current status. Today, I got snail mail reply..
"Due to the high volume of expedite requests for this case type, we are strictly enforcing the criteria that has been set for these expedite requests."

Thanks for the update. Let me share my concern with the CIR. Do you think that someone (lawmakers) is going to officially vote for the CIR to die? I don't believe so. Discussions, debates, political bickering and fingerpointing can drag on for months and even years because no one is officially willing to kill it for obvious political reasons. How long do you think we (IV) can wait until we start pushing for other bills?

I'm no senior member, but I would guess your red dot to be a feature of the software running this forum. Depending on the number of posts (50,100 etc), it changes.

Lets not get sucked into it..
1) If there is a clause that you cannot join thier client directly, then it has to respected.These clauses are valid in court.
2) What is there in the agreement if you join their client ? There should be a penality specified in the agreement if the clause in broken.
Lessons learnt
1) Why the hell did you sign the agreement without looking at these clauses ?
2) Why din't you have a copy of the agreement with you ?
I have seen many companies having a similar clause.There are some American companies as well that have similar clauses that you cannot join their clients within X months after employement termination.Generally you can work these things out with your employer and join the client if you leave with good terms.
But he cannot withhold your salary regardless.Thats against the law.They can penalize you but cannot withhold your salary.
